The boyfriend and I made some sand snowmen (and kitty) and shot it for our Holiday Card. Hope it brings a smile to your face and you and  your’s have a wonderful holiday season!

Meet Bob…

Bob may not be the cutest flower in the pot but he will certainly bring a smile to your face! Bob’s a bright one as you probably guessed that after catching a glimpse of his big noggin’! He enjoys watching MythBusters as well as learning about the latest and greatest technology on the market. He makes a wonderful study buddy and loves a good chat over coffee and donuts.

Herbert’s New Friend

While my batch making is moving a bit slow this week, what with all the holiday madness and all, I did manage to bring  to life the first little plushy of the shop update batch! A Baker’s Dozen ACEO cards!

I’m working to complete a batch and a half of new work for The Happy Flowers shop every week in order to stock up for the big Shop Update in January! First of the batches completed are the ACEO cards! I created 13 original art ACEO cards, signed all the backs and placed them in their protective baggies. I really only meant to create 12, but one got away, later to be found under the TV. Here’s the bunch in all it’s glory! The Making of: Plushies!

I’ve just finished up my batch of original ACEO cards, which I promise to post soon, and have begun my next batch of work… plushies! I started by sketching out a couple ideas, then made the template and cut out two sets of felt for each. So I have four total ready to be sewn up! Above you see the cut out felt next to the sketch of what it will become  =)  Stay tuned!

New Year, Full Shop

As my one New Year’s Resolution (because I never do them), I plan to take my Etsy endeavor much more focused and seriously! As you’ve seen, and will see more of, I am currently putting together batches of work at a time. Twelve pieces to each batch. I’ve got 10 original art ACEO cards and just need two more before that’s complete. Next I plan to cut out a batch of felt plushies! After that… you’ll just have to see. So On January 15th, 2009 I’ll be listing a great deal of items, and then regularly posting new ones from my completed batches, while working on new pieces. I also resolve to promote much more, be much more involved and really give this a go!

I realize I planned this before with the “relaunch in October” but the move was a much more time consuming task than I planned for… now that I’m settled in and on a routine, I’m really excited to pour more time and energy into this! Stay tuned!
